Florian Götz **
Florian Götz is a Magister student of Theatre and Media Studies, German Literature and Philosophy at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, on an exchange year at Concordia University’s Department of Theatre. Former Artistic Director and Head of Organisation for ARENA… of the young arts, an international festival for physical theatre, performance and dance, Götz now works as a Research Assistant for Sandeep Bhagwati’s Racines Ephemères. For this research grant, he investigates hybrid gesticulation in videos of life story interviews, undertaken by the Community University Research Alliance (CURA) project, Life Stories of Montrealers Displaced by War, Genocide, and other Human Rights Violations. He is also a co-founder of the theatre collective Just Us Producing, whose initial performance Just Us will be shown at the Montreal Fringe Festival in June 2009.
