In Mumbai als Sohn einer deutschen Mutter und eines indischen Vaters geboren, wuchs Bhagwati ab seinem 5. Lebensjahr in Deutschland auf. Er studierte am Mozarteum Salzburg, an der Musikhochschule M\u00fcnchen und am IRCAM\/Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris. Er ist Komponist f\u00fcr zeitgen\u00f6ssische Musik, entwickelt trans-traditionelle musikalische Erarbeitungswege, erforscht neue performative Formen unter Verwendung elektronischer Medien arbeitet im multimedialen Performance- und Installationsbereich. Er ver\u00f6ffentlicht Texte zur aktuellen Situation der K\u00fcnste und verfasst Rundfunkbeitr\u00e4ge. Die theoretische wie k\u00fcnstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit den Musikkulturen Asiens ist ein Schwerpunkt seines Arbeitens. Er war Professor f\u00fcr Komposition an der Musikhochschule Karlsruhe und hat seit 2006 den Canada Research Chair in Inter-X Art Practice and Theory an der Faculty of Fine Arts der Concordia University, Montreal, Qu\u00e9bec, Kanada inne.\n<br><br>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"mySlides fade\">\n<div class=\"numbertext\">2 \/ 3<\/div>\n    <img src=\"http:\/\/matralab.hexagram.ca\/research\/ensembles\/extrakte\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/elke_Mesa-de-trabajo-1.png\" style=\"width:300px\">\n  <div class=\"text\">\n<b>Elke Moltrecht (Management)\n<\/b>\n<br><br>\nElke Moltrecht studierte Musikwissenschaft an der Humboldt Universit\u00e4t Berlin, arbeitete bei den Verlagen Breitkopf &amp; H\u00e4rtel, Hofmeister und Deutscher Verlag f\u00fcr Musik, im Bosehaus\/Bachmuseum in Leipzig und ist Mitbegr\u00fcnderin des Heinrich-Sch\u00fctz-Haus Bad K\u00f6stritz. Elke Moltrecht leitete den Musikbereich im Podewil \u2013 Zentrum f\u00fcr aktuelle K\u00fcnste, das Ballhaus Naunynstra\u00dfe, das Projekt \u201cMusik sehen\u201d des Humboldt Lab Dahlem und als Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrerin das Netzwerk Neue Musik Musik 21 Niedersachsen und die Akademie der K\u00fcnste der Welt in K\u00f6ln. Zu ihren Arbeitsschwerpunkten geh\u00f6ren transtraditionelle musikalische Praxis und Forschung, Konzertformate und kosmopolitisches Kuratieren. Sie etablierte internationale und interdisziplin\u00e4re Festivals und Programme, in denen sie Musik in ungew\u00f6hnliche thematische Zusammenh\u00e4nge verbindet, ver\u00f6ffentlicht in Fachzeitschriften und ist Mitglied ma\u00dfgeblicher nationaler und internationaler Jurys und Vorst\u00e4nde. Hanna is currently the ensemble manager for Ensemble Extrakte (Berlin) and the Harmonic Space Orchestra (Berlin), co-director of The Hermes Experiment (London), as well as project manager for the World Orchestra for Peace (UNESCO Artist for Peace) and the Etihad Chamber Orchestra (Amman, Jordan). She has worked for a number of new music organisations and initiatives in Germany and the UK, and has managed many international projects, including several British Council projects during the UK-Russia Year of Music (2019). Since late 2020 she has been a board member of the Berliner Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Neue Musik [Berlin Society for New Music]. Hanna\u2019s research and curatorial work focuses on the contextualisation of artistic practice in broader socio-political issues. She has recently given papers and workshops at the eavesdropping symposium (London), DICE Berlin, Maastricht University, and the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung\u2019s Feminist Futures Festival. She has written for new music magazines Positionen and TEMPO, and has degrees from the University of Cambridge and Humboldt University in Berlin.
