A Tightwire Performance and Live Responsive Soundscape of Hamlet’s Soliloquy

Posted on

Joel E. Mason, Phd student in Humanities at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society & Culture Concordia University, is performing sound in a 10-minute piece with Francois Bouvier that reconfigures Hamlet’s soliloquy into a tightwire performance and responsive soundscape. Direction and dramaturgy by Patrick Leroux and Alison Bowie. Francois is amazing and delicate to watch.

Shows are Friday, June 10th at 1pm and 2pm, and Saturday, June 11th at 1:30pm and 5pm, in the atrium at 1000 de la Gauchetiere, downtown Montreal (15 min walk from Concordia). There’s no charge. Please make sure to arrive slightly beforehand because it is a brief moment.

Come on down and add some (more) weird and beautiful to your weekend! We would love to see you there.
