In 2006, I recorded an early morning at Shivaji Park from the balcony of my grandparents’ house in Mumbai. It was six a.m., and just about daybreak.
I also improvised some sonic interventions around the house, while the recorder was running, in hommage to composer Luc Ferrari, a fatherly friend to me, who had died just a year ago.

His piece “Presque Rien no.1 – Lever du Jour au Bord de la Mer” was the reason I got up early and captured another sunrise atmosphere.
