On Friday, February 19, matralab director Sandeep Bhagwati will hold an internal training workshop for staff and curators of the Ethnological Museum in Berlin around the following questions:

How can collections of the museum (instruments and recordings) become fertile material for contemporary music making?

How can the museum act as a seismograph for changes in global music situations?

How will demographic changes in Germany and the influx of refugees impact museum exhibitions – what kind of new artistic and curatorial challenges and opportunities do they imply?
