Ensemble LUX:NM and Ensemble Extrakte play comprovisation scores by Sandeep Bhagwati
For his work with trans-traditional ensembles, Sandeep Bhagwati has developed many notations and working methods, most of them with his Ensemble Extrakte Berlin, in which twelve musicians of different musical origins have been working together since 2014. Now, the new music ensemble LUX:NM has set itself the task of creatively re-imagining musical concepts developed for Japanese, Arab, Indian and indigenous musicians through Western instruments such as the trombone, accordion and saxophone. Musicians are invited to digress, embellish, and reflect. Sandeep Bhagwati will also devise a new comprovisation for audio scores: Jamben (2019), using poetry fragments by Rudolf Borchardt as the score.
