On September 19th, 2021, composer, poet and academic researcher Sandeep Bhagwati presented his Lecture Performance “The Sound of Misunderstanding – Dhvanivala‘s Sonic Explorations” on the FESTIVAL OPENING – DECOLONIAL FREQUENCIES (Ballhaus Naunynstrasse Berlin).
Bhagwati’s work was inspired by the story of a young Indian student who arrived in Darmstadt to do a Ph.D. in physics in the early 1960s. By facing a new environment, the young physician would explore unfamiliar sounds and develop new ideas.
Bhagwati followed the roots of this story and presented the results of his creative work at the WORLD PREMIERE of The Sound of Misunderstanding – Dhvanivala‘s Sonic Explorations.
