Jan 2, 3 and 4, 2014 Bargemusic Festival New York

Peter Evans, piccolo trumpet, Dave Taylor and Felix del Tredici, Bass Trombone [ & all also percussion] will perform a world premiere of their version of all Miyagi Haikus [2011] – a corpus of small musical poems I had written in immediate response to the 2011 tsunami that devastated Japan. They will play the work not as an entity, but as a distributed performance: the first five haikus on Jan 2, the next seven on Jan 3 and the final 5 on Jan 4.
